Złotoryja

Zlotoryja is a charming town in south-western Poland. Due to gold present in local streams, it’s also called “the Polish Klondike”. The mining traditions of the town are still continued. This is the place of the international competitions in gold panning.

Zlotoryja is often visited by tourists from all over Europe. Despite its attractiveness, the town was lacking in natural accents in the centre. A huge advantage of Zlotoryja is the historic old market with the town hall that is on the list of the most crucial monuments of the National Institute of Heritage.

The models H750, H1200 and H2400 of the Flower Towers appeared in the urban landscape of Zlotoryja, just like the hanging constructions W600, in 2013. The effect was remarkable. The town square and its surroundings turned into a beautiful place. Some monuments got a floral decoration too.

The problem of Zlotoryja was lacked of nature in the central part of the town. In order to provide nature to the town square covered with the cobblestone, it was necessary to use the Flower Towers. They occurred to be the perfect solution.

The historic old market of Zlotoryja has recently been renovated. After it, there was a time for green accents. The cobblestoned surface of the centre has perfectly matched the stylish tenements but there was no place for nature.

Stylish but monotonous greyness of the old market required plants. Also many monuments in Zlotoryja needed to be decorated with flowers. It was a difficult task due to no access to the natural ground and water

Solution

In order to improve the aesthetics of the old town in Zlotoryja, the municipal authorities have chosen the Flower Towers in different sizes. They have been located in strategic places in the centre. Colourful flowers have created a contrast to the cobblestone. The floral decorations have also appeared on the street lamps and barriers.

Along with the municipal authorities of Zlotoryja, we’ve been able to change the image of the town square. Despite the lack of natural ground, the town square has turned into a truly green place.

Results

I’m satisfied with the effect. We managed to change the image of the old part of our town and provide colour and nature into it. I think it’s worth investing in such solutions.
